“We actually didn't get an ocean front room however all I can say is it's impossible to not see the ocean from this hotel. We had a room set back on one of the pool levels but our balcony was basically the pool. The common areas are exquisite and all have views. The rooms with the ocean views looked great and all the other guests seemed quite happy.”

“This is our 2nd time staying at Refugio del Mar for short stays (4 nights) in Bucerias. Both times we stsyed.in one of the 2nd floor, 2 bedroom apartments called "Eva". The apt is reslly nice, has two balconies, very spacious with a nice full size kit hen and new appliances. Very clean, comfy and friendly staff. Will definitely come back.here next time!”

“The location of the Lindo Mar was very nice. It was a 5 minute cab ride to the romantic zone, costing less then 100 pesos. The room was large and very clean. A/C worked great. The kitchen is stocked with the basic equipment to make a nice meal. Beautiful view and good food. The beach is not swimmable due to the large rocks and choppy waters. Service in the restaurant was okay. Most staff was friendly. Pool is small and mostly shaded. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. ”

“It was a difficult time with the cartel bombings right in front of the property. That being said, there wasn't a cohesive plan by management for anything. In fact management wasn't present during the whole incident. There was no one in charge that was skilled or versed on how to maintain the guests . ![Puerto Vallarta has many different beaches, and while my favorites for swimming happen to be on the southside of the bay in Punta Negra & Mismaloya, the beach in the Marina is perfect. There is public access along side the bayview grand complex and a nice long walk down to the Westin. At high tide there are some areas where you may get your feet wet though! If you find yourself heading the opposite direction (perhaps for a sea turtle release) on the beach during the rainy reason be sure to keep your eye out for crocodiles!
